This one on one performance came after of Passing Through (details can be seen in the performance section) which made me want to further explore the nature of performance/vulnerability/exposure.  

 

The audience member would come in and I would have my back to them, our only eye contact being through a mirror I was holding. I then turned and as we saw each other’s faces, I invited us to draw each other’s faces, while we kept eye contact. After this I invited them to ask me any question, which I would truthfully answer – but they would wear a headphone with static noise; thus having only my facial expression to take in. If they wanted I would ask them a question and wear the headphone. Then they could ask me a question and listen as well as see the answer, and vice versa (again if they wanted).
