On the 21st of November planning permission for 30 luxury apartments on Pendennis Point, in Cornwall was turned down. Pendennis Point is a peninsula that is a haven for seals, birds and humans who come to enjoy the sea views and each other's company in this spacious spot. November 30th is remembrance of the lost species day, which is an interesting part of a culture that sees non human life as kin, rather than as objects for use.
